Astronomers found the planet most like Earth that they call the "habitable zone." Located in temperate regions where water can sustain life can be present in liquid form.

The planet is about 10 percent larger than Earth and is located about 500 light years away in the constellation Cygnus.
Speculation that this planet could support liquid water, an essential component to life, marking a significant step forward in the search for habitable locations outside Earth's solar system.
"The cousin of the earth"
Astronomers say Kepler-186f located at the outer edge of the habitable temperate regions, meaning lakes, rivers or oceans could exist without freezing or boiling.
"What makes these findings interesting is sized planets like Earth, one of five planets orbiting a star, cooler than the Sun, located in the temperate regions where water can exist in liquid form," says team leader Elisa Quintana of Center NASA Ames research.

But he was more regard this planet as a "cousin of the earth" and not a twin Earth orbiting a star for dimmer and smaller than the sun, which is likely to be cooler than the Earth.
the right size
The size of Kepler-186f is also a significant aspect of the invention because of the size of the planet is important in predicting the composition of the surface and its atmosphere.
The planets in the amount of more than 1.5 times the size of Earth, often draw a thick layer of hydrogen which makes gas giant planet resembling Jupiter or Saturn like. A smaller planet has a greater chance of containing rocks.
Kepler-186f is one of five planets orbiting stars Keplar-186. Size are all approximately the size of Earth, but the location of other planets are too close to the star to be able to sustain life.
